As members of the Manitoba`s Building Trades family, we were proud of the election of Daniel Blaikie to the Winnipeg Parliament Elmwood-Transcona in 2015. Daniel is a member of IBEW Local 2085 and, since his election, has been a tireless advocate for workers across Canada. Daniel spoke on our behalf on many issues, including employment, security, pensions, health care and support for the labour movement in Canada. On October 21, Canadians will return to the polls. As in 2015, our efforts are focused on preventing the election of right-wing candidates hostile to unions and hostile to workers and ensuring that workers and supporters such as Daniel Blaikie are brought back to Ottawa. In some Winnipeg ridings, we have recognized the support of the Liberal government over the past four years. But we don`t want to leave any doubt that we are 100% behind Daniel, and in Winnipeg ElmwoodTranscona, there is no choice but to support the NDP and Daniel Blaikie.

This is our only election as an MP in Elmwood-Transcona. We encourage all members of Winnipeg Elmwood-Transcona to support Daniel by voluntarily committing to his campaign, donating to his campaign and, above all, voting for him on October 21. With our strong commitment, we can ensure that one of Canada`s toughest MPs is back in Ottawa to continue his work on our behalf.
